A New Standard in Performance and Design

“The V-55 Sport represents our ability to diversify within a model to meet the needs of more owners,” stated Viking President and CEO Pat Healey during the Viking Yachts and Valhalla Boatworks Dealer Meeting in Atlantic City, New Jersey. “It takes the proven performance of our 55 hull and merges it with an exciting, contemporary design that the cruising crowd will love.”

Power and Stability

At the heart of the V-55 Sport’s dynamic performance are four Mercury 600-hp outboards, ensuring a powerful and exhilarating ride. This model utilizes the renowned Michael Peters Yacht Design Stepped-V Ventilated Tunnel (SVVT) running surface, delivering a fast, stable, and efficient cruising experience.

Designed for Relaxation and Entertainment

The V-55 Sport is meticulously designed for maximum relaxation and outdoor entertaining. The cockpit features a spacious dining area with two bench seats and a table, perfect for enjoying meals with a view. An L-shaped summer kitchen, positioned forward and to starboard, adds convenience and style to your outdoor gatherings.

One of the standout features is the powered fold-down balconies on each side, complete with integrated boarding ladders. “The balconies consist of the entire aft sections of the hull sides, completely opening up the cockpit,” explains Viking Design Manager David Wilson. “Each platform is 25 square feet, giving you more deck space and easy water access.”

Stylish and Practical Design Elements

Safety and style are seamlessly integrated with a low-profile bow rail, enhancing the yacht’s sleek appearance. The asymmetrical side-deck design offers increased interior volume, while a raised starboard side deck (accessible via three steps) provides ample cabin space without compromising access to the bow. The port side walkway, flush with the deck, leads to the bow’s three-person sunpad and wraparound lounge with a table, creating an inviting space for relaxation.

Bringing the Outdoors In

The command deck is designed to merge indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly. Accessed through a port-side bulkhead door, this area features a powered aft bulkhead window and sunroof, along with port and starboard-powered doors that slide aft. This design allows full-beam access from the three-person forward control station and welcomes refreshing breezes into the aft seating area.

Luxurious Interior Accommodations

Below deck, the V-55 Sport continues to impress with a feature-packed galley to starboard and a comfortable dinette to port, complete with L-shaped seating that converts into a berth. The yacht offers two private staterooms with walkaround queen beds. The forward master stateroom boasts an ensuite head and separate shower, while the amidship guest stateroom is conveniently located near a day head with a separate shower. Natural light floods the interior through cabin and hull-side windows, enhancing the sense of space and comfort.

Engineered for Extended Adventures

With a fuel capacity of 1,100 gallons, the V-55 Sport is designed for extensive range and long-distance cruising. For added comfort, it is engineered to accommodate a Seakeeper. The first hull is scheduled for completion in time for the winter boat show season.
