Connecticut Yacht Broker

Oyster Harbors Marine of Essex, CT is looking for a passionate broker to join our award-winning sales team. You will be representing premium boat and yacht brands from Everglades center consoles up to Viking and Princess yachts. 

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with new and brokerage boat sales. However, if you have a proven track record in sales of any kind, we are ready to have a conversation. We are looking to expand our business in Fairfield and New Haven Counties. If you live in those areas, there may be an opportunity to work remotely. You will report to the office manager in Essex, CT, and be responsible for all aspects of boat purchases, sales and trades of boats and be expected to handle the administrative responsibilities that go along with those processes. You may be asked to provide photographs, prepare documents, negotiate pricing, communicate with the client and dealer, generate leads, and manage sales listings. 

Your duties also involve understanding the details of various boats and yachts so you can answer customer questions and provide assistance throughout and after the boat sale. Parts Department Supervisor

Position Profile

Oyster Harbors Marine seeks an experienced Parts Department Supervisor to lead a team of deeply tenured parts specialists in supporting the success of our boat sales and service. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the Parts Department Supervisor will work closely with the service department, technicians, detailers, sales personnel, and accounting.

In addition, the Parts Department Supervisor will:

  • Have a team focused style with the ability to interact effectively with technicians
  • Provide consistent inventory control and management
  • Establish and implement consistent procedures

Qualifications

  • 5+ years marine parts department experience
  • Strong inventory control and management experience
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite with the ability to quickly grasp other software programs
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Compensation

Compensation to include a competitive base salary plus a strong benefits package to include 75% paid healthcare, 401K and vacation time.

Outboard Engine Mechanic

Oyster Harbors Marine of Osterville is seeking an experienced Outboard Engine Mechanic. Candidates are responsible to identify, diagnose and repair two and four stroke outboard engines and boat systems to include electrical systems, plumbing and rigging. Qualified candidates must be able to communicate with service advisors and the parts department throughout the repair process to aid in the establishment of a proper written estimate/work order. Ideal candidates should already hold certifications in Yamaha and Mercury engine repair and maintenance. This is a full-time position with seasonal overtime.

Inboard Marine Mechanic

Oyster Harbors Marine of Osterville is seeking a highly experienced inboard engine mechanic, preferably with Mercruiser and Volvo certification. The ideal candidate will have extensive diagnostic and repair abilities in gas/diesel engines, fuel systems, boat systems and electrical systems. Boat handling experience is desirable. This is a year-round, full time position with overtime required seasonally. You must have extensive boat/yacht repair experience to be considered for this position.
