Our Valhalla Boatworks (VBW) center consoles look great any time of day, but these first-light photos of the Valhalla 37 Jenny B give new meaning to the term “Rise and Shine.”

Jenny B is the first Valhalla 37 with a marlin tower. Custom fabricated and installed by the Viking subsidiary Palm Beach Towers, this premium anodized aluminum structure (which can be folded down and has a removable sunshade) will serve the owner well in his quest for tuna off the coast of Massachusetts’ north shore, providing excellent visibility and versatility.

The owner will also use the V-37 for family day cruising. To that end, Jenny B features a custom (removable) transom bench seat, optional forward bench seating with backrests and U-shaped seating in the bow (also removable). “Nantucket Sound, Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod Bay, Newport and north to Maine are all in his wheelhouse,” Peter Maryott of the VBW dealership Oyster Harbors Marine says of the owner and his family. “The seating on the boat is tremendous, and the owner loves the 360-degree walk-around access and maximum deck space for fishing.”

Atlantic Marine Electronics, another Viking-owned company, also played a major role in the outfitting of Jenny B. She features a full suite of Garmin electronics, including twin 17-inch multi-function displays for radar, sonar, chartplotting, autopilot, AIS as well as a GPSMAP 8610 in the tower. This V-37 also boasts a custom sound and lighting system installed by AME that syncs the music with multi-color lighting emitted from the speakers as well as underwater and above-water lights.

This high-performance center console’s triple Mercury Verado 400s deliver the speed needed to cover ground quickly and find the fish. Rod holders and fishing equipment and accessories are prevalent throughout the boat. The tower alone holds a dozen rod holders, the coaming from bow to transom is loaded with them as well.

Expect to hear more about this V-37, which will run out of Gloucester, Massachusetts. We have additional photography showing details of the tower and plan to follow-up with the owner after his first season with his Valhalla.
