On the Red Carpet: the Viking 54C
No manufacturer in the sportfishing genre has created more successful models in the 50-60 foot range as Viking Yachts. In the last two decades, this company has launched–and sold–10 different models of luxury yachts in that size range.
Viking debuted the Viking 54C at the prestigious Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show earlier this fall and it will be on display at the Viking Yachts and Valhalla Boatworks VIP Boat Show, January 28-30, 2021. RSVP for this exclusive event with Oyster Harbors Marine.
The three-stateroom, two-head open bridge yacht pushes the owner/operator convertible to the highest levels of engineering, performance, accommodations and sportfishing capabilities. The 54 Convertible presents an eye-pleasing profile that’s unmistakably Viking, with signature design traits such as a gently sloping unbroken S-shaped sheer, aggressively raked stem, double chines, hull-side vents and deftly placed exterior feature lines.
Down below, the new Viking 54 makes great use of an uninterrupted companionway that stretches from the starboard salon door all the way to the forepeak, which opens up the floorplan and shows off the workmanship and luxury in the peninsula countertop galley. The galley is loaded with luxury appointments, including two SubZero refrigerators, stainless sink with garbage disposal and ample storage space.
The staterooms are incredibly roomy and bright, and each of the two heads features a glass-walled shower enclosure which opens up the spacious feeling. Fully carpeted, temperature controlled environments, fingertip controlled stereo speakers and flatscreen TVs and overhead LED lighting add to the warm comfort of the staterooms.
For fishing, this yacht is ready for action. The walk-through transom gate combined with a lift gate provides plenty of space for hauling aboard one of the big ones. There are livebait wells, fish boxes and storage everywhere in the huge teak stern floor, which is big enough for ballroom dancing, but will also comfortably accommodate a fighting chair, rocket launchers or table. Guests will enjoy watching the action from the teak floored raised mezzanine, a Viking exclusive.
The cockpit can be fully outfitted with as many electronics as the owner desires, and the 54 can be outfitted with a custom designed and fabricated Palm Beach Towers tuna tower and equipped with navigation, communication and entertainment systems from Atlantic Marine Electronics, both subsidiaries of Viking Yachts.
