Welcome to our new Service Manager- Randy Chabot! November 5th, 2018

Randy started his career in the marine industry when he was in high school,  building a 31’ Cape Dory in 1984. In 1987 he began working on the Black Watch sportfishing line of boats as well as the Little Harbor express motor yachts, both for the Ted Hood company in Portsmouth, RI.

In 1999, after graduating from Johnson and Wales University, Randy took on a managerial role with Ted Hood Yacht Builders working in Customer Service and Quality Assurance in the building of the Little Harbor Whisperjets, Little Harbor 60’ and 70’ sailboats as well as the Ted Hood 51 Pilothouse sloop.

When The Hinckley Company bought out Ted Hood, Randy stayed on as Warranty Manager and was later promoted to Director of Quality and Customer Satisfaction where he was responsible for Quality Assurance in the boat building plant in Maine, as well as Warranty Administration and new boat deliveries/training.

In 2010, Randy moved on to Hinckley Yacht Services as Service Manager for Hinckley’s line of jet powered motor yachts and shortly thereafter was promoted to Operations Manager at Hinckley’s largest service yard in Portsmouth, RI,  servicing hundreds of Hinckley and Hunt Yachts, supervising a full range of trades foremen and technicians.

Randy has four children, three currently in college,  and enjoys gardening, golfing and boating in his spare time.
