Viking Yachts’ New 58 Convertible

Viking Yachts is introducing the second generation of their legendary 58 Convertible, with this successor poised to carry on the Viking tradition of excellence as both a hardcore sportfishing tournament vessel and a comfortable, luxurious family cruising yacht.

When the original 58 Convertible was launched in the 1990s, it was the largest Viking at the time and a major milestone that helped build the company into a sportfishing powerhouse.

The new Viking 58 Convertible is the culmination of nearly 55 years of convertible sportfishing design, engineering and manufacturing experience, and this innovative vessel is ideal for tournament fishing or family cruising.

The Viking 58 C features Viking’s signature walk-around center console flybridge helm with flanking lounges, a 165-square-foot cockpit and observation mezzanine. The private and comfortable three-stateroom, two-head layout maximizes the vessel’s 17-foot, 9-inch beam. A forward stateroom with a queen berth is standard, with an optional crossover arrangement. Viking’s design team has done a phenomenal job with the salon and galley arrangement, creating a highly-functional open layout with a balanced mix of amenities for entertaining, relaxing or dining.

Propulsion packages from MAN and MTU are offered with the “Gen II” Viking 58 Convertible. A pair of the new MTU V10 2000 M96L engines rated at 1,600 HP each power hull number one.

The Viking 58 Convertible debuted at the annual Viking Dealer Meeting and Sea Trial Event in September2018 . The 58 C made her official world premiere at the 2018 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 31 through November 4.
