82 Cockpit Motor Yacht
The 82 MY merges Viking sportfishing yacht DNA with megayacht luxury in an intuitively designed and engineered six-stateroom, three-deck Viking.
Like our convertibles, the 82 Motor Yacht’s self-bailing cockpit (and mezzanine steps) can be clad in beautiful teak. Viking design traits include rounded coamings for comfort, toekick space for balance and a convenient walk-through transom door with lift gate. The transom storage box can be converted into a live well; insulated in-deck storage boxes are under the cockpit sole; rod holders are flush-mounted in the coaming; and there are port and starboard side lockers. Combined with mezzanine seating (which also provides engineroom access) and an integrated swim platform, this area can quickly become a hub for swimming, diving and other water sports.
Focused on outdoor relaxation and entertainment, the expansive open bridge features an integrated Venturi windshield, removable Costa Clear enclosure and abundant seating and lounging areas. Abaft the centerline helm, a family size U-shaped dinette on the port side is conveniently adjacent to the starboard wet bar with refrigeration, a sink and an electric grill.
Step into the salon and you’re greeted with the warmth of hand-finished high-gloss walnut joinery and the rich textures of designer fabrics. This inviting area boasts a port-side sofa and two chairs to starboard, a cocktail table, an ice maker, bar cabinet with bottle and glass storage, solid walnut valances, wall-to-wall carpeting, an entertainment center with a 65-inch pop-up HD TV and a day head.
The open galley features a counter with three bar stools, under-counter refrigerator and freezer units, lower cabinetry and a separate pantry. There’s also a conventional oven under a four-burner surface-mount stovetop, a stainless steel sink and a Cambria galley backsplash. All of the countertops surfaces are also Cambria. Two starboard-side steps lead to the forward dining area, furnished with a large walnut table with U-shaped seating, a starboard office nook and custom Amtico flooring.
