“So Damn Sexy,” “Beautiful Girl,” “Ultimate Fishing Machine,” “Some Day/Some Way,” and “Oh Lord!” These were just a few of over 100 comments that Hooray, a Viking 80 EB with Sky Bridge, amassed after this image appeared on social media. They took the words right out of our mouth, but we still have a lot more to say about this stunning five-stateroom, four-deck yacht.

The benefits of Viking‘s vertical integration are particularly evident in the enclosed bridge. The Viking subsidiary Atlantic Marine Electronics has designed and installed a custom navigation, communications and entertainment package in Viking’s signature control station with Stidd helm and companion chairs. Multi-function displays, switch panels, monitors, and navigation and engine controls (including the MTU Dynamic Positioning joystick) are housed in a wrap-around console with black Ultraleather surfaces for reduced glare. The captain has command of all systems, everything from the Seakeeper gyro and Furuno sonar to the Eskimo ice machines and Sea Recovery water makers to the GOST security cameras and DirecTV.

We build 90 percent of every Viking in house, including the finely detailed and finished cabinetry and furniture. Hooray boasts a satin walnut interior and dark walnut custom Amtico flooring. A stainless steel sink, a four-burner surface-mount range, an optional conventional oven and under-counter refrigeration and freezer storage are some of the galley’s features and conveniences. The expansive countertops give the chef plenty of real estate for meal preparation. Custom Channell Glass artwork illuminates the forward backsplash.

At the center of the full-beam master is a king bed with a quilted, designer-style bedspread and upholstered headboard. Standard amenities include wall-to-wall carpeting, wood crown molding, twin maple-lined hanging lockers, a pair of credenzas with drawers, a port-side vanity/desk area and ensuite head.

With a striking Shark Grey hull, metallic boot stripe and faux teak toerails and transom, Hooray will bedazzle all in her sight. This is the second 80 and fifth Viking for owners Eric and Wendy Dunn, who were featured in the Summer 2019 issue of Valhalla magazine. (The Dunns will also soon take delivery of a Valhalla Boatworks V-41 featuring the same Shark Grey exterior as their new 80.) Eric, an avid tournament angler and hunter, owns the world-class Hooray Hunting Ranch in Kingman, Kansas. His passions shine through on the yacht’s transom.
