54 Open Series

With the new 54 Open Series – our largest-ever express-style yacht – you get more of everything: speed, range, accommodations, creature comforts, storage, cockpit space, fishability. The fleet consists of three Vikings: the 54 Open (O), 54 Sport Coupe (SC) and 54 Sport Tower (ST). The trio joins the 54 Convertible to complete an unmatched offering of mid-size fish-and-cruise Vikings. Each model has its own unique style, aesthetic appeal and inherent cruising and fishing benefits. In this Viking View we take a look at the first two builds of this model – a 54 Sport Tower (above) and a 54 Sport Coupe.

The 54 Sport Tower takes fishability to the highest levels (pun intended) with its Palm Beach Towers hardtop and tuna tower while giving the boat an unmistakably aggressive profile. Powered with optional MAN V12 1550CRM (1550 MHP) engines and boasting a sexy Shark Grey gelcoat, hull No. 1 is a fast (40-plus knots) and ferocious offshore battlewagon with a 5’ 6” gap tower and Rupp hydraulic outrigger system. Her color-coordinated exterior includes matching Shark Grey for the tower’s sunshade and standing platform as well as the radar and satellite antennas and thermal imaging camera.

As promised, here’s the first Sport Coupe version of our new 54 Open Series. Delivered to its owner this summer in the Northeast, this Kingston Grey 54 SC is both a sophisticated sport yacht and a fearsome hardcore fishing machine with an immense cockpit and Viking style and quality from stem to stern.

Also powered with a pair of MAN V12 1550CRM (1550 MHP) engines, she features a number of customizations for cruising and fishing such as an optional solid fiberglass aft bulkhead, molded-in hardtop pods for exterior lighting, a personalized transom (with elegant lettering and decorative artwork) and swim platform.

She’s a pretty girl but also rigged to fish hard and often, with extra rod holders in the cockpit and a custom hardtop-mounted eight-rod rocket launcher.
