The V Report – Take a Bow

Valhalla 46
The sheer size of the V-46 plays an integral role in the boat’s ability to carry out its mission as the ultimate large fish-and-cruise high-performance center console. With a nearly 50-foot length (with engines down) and a ginormous 13-foot, 4-inch beam, there’s too much to cover in a single V Report, so we’ll focus on one area of the V-46 at a time in separate editions of our digital newsletter. And what better place to start than the bow?
The versatile bow offers the perfect balance of seating, storage and fishability. The forward end of this ship boasts three different comfortable seating areas. No bean bags necessary! You can chill in the form-fitting forward lounge or stretch out in one of the two forward seats with available teak backrests. There’s also a two-person seat on the console’s forward end. No matter where you are, the breeze will feel fabulous and the view will be spectacular.
The bow is full of smart storage solutions – for your bait, the day’s catch and all your gear. The forward console seat cushions are easily removed, revealing an available above deck pressurized live well with a clear lid. The Valhalla 46 holds no fewer than five fishboxes, including this one in the foredeck, which has a 538-quart capacity. All fishboxes are insulated, equipped with macerator pumps and plumbed for overboard drainage.
Accessed via immaculately finished fiberglass lids with stainless steel gas pistons, storage is conveniently located inside the forward lounge seats and in the centerline step-up platform. The hatches are equipped with stainless steel compression latches and heavy-duty gasketing (that sits in recessed channels) for a tight seal.
With the raised platform and a lid that remains open 90 degrees, working inside the anchor locker will be a trouble-free experience. The stainless steel gas piston assists with opening the lid, holding it in place and preventing it from resting on the molded-in faux teak toerail. This V-46 features a complete ground tackle package that includes an available stainless steel plow anchor with anchor chute and windlass with guarded rocker switch. Twin hatches inside the locker provide access to the anchor rode and the windlass motor. For convenience, there’s a freshwater washdown with hose bib on the starboard side, easily accessible but out of the way.

Next up in our pictorial walk-through will be the helm and hardtop. For information about the Valhalla 46 or any of our V Series models please contact your authorized Valhalla Boatworks dealer. All four models – the V-33, V-37, V-41 and V-46 – will be on display at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 25-28.
