Legacy Luxury in a Mid-Size Boat
The Legacy line from Tartan Marine is known for punching above its weight, packing plenty of luxury features into its smaller space. The Legacy 36 is a prime example.
With its graceful Down East silhouette, the Legacy 36 is built on a modified Deep V hull with wide chine flats running aft so the boat comes up on plane at low speeds. A running keel and skeg protect the prop and the skeg-hung rudder.
From the small self-bailing aft deck (with a comfortable settee) one steps through sliding glass doors into a wonderful helmdeck saloon reminiscent of a fine sailing schooner. Teak accents all around, beautiful upholstered seating and a removeable central table.
The helm itself features Ultraleather Stidd seats, customized electronic spaces and even a beautifully crafted wood chart table. The windows all around make this room extremely bright and cheerful, as well as providing excellent visibility for the captain.
Down a few steps is the well-engineered galley, with built-in microwave and a cooktop hidden beneath the Corian countertop. Foreward, the pedestal Memory Foam queen bed is surrounded by ample locker space and the head with freshwater shower.
The standard Cummins QSB 6.7 480 HP electronically controlled engine is a marvel of modern diesel technology. Clean running and efficient, the installation in the Legacy 36 features an oversized prop shaft coupled to a precise 5-axis machined, 4 blade propeller for maximum performance. Legacy has worked overtime to wrap the engine compartment in layers of insulating material, reducing the noise, even full out, down to a purr.
That’s a lot of good stuff packed into a mid-size package. Stop in and take a look or contact us to schedule a sea trial!
