Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Mobile Mechanic to join our dynamic team at Oyster Harbors Marine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine mechanics, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer service. As a Marine Mobile Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of marine engines and systems, providing on-site service to our clients across the New England region. Experience with winterization and fiberglass repair is a significant bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on a variety of marine engines, including outboard, inboard, and sterndrive systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, fuel, and cooling systems on boats.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and resolve issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Travel to various locations within the New England region to perform on-site repairs and maintenance.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and technologies to provide the best possible service.
- Perform winterization services to prepare boats for off-season storage.
- Conduct fiberglass repair work to restore and maintain boat hulls and other components.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in marine mechanics preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a marine mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Experience with winterization and fiberglass repair is a significant bonus.
