Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team in Osterville, MA. The Service Advisor will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, coordinating service schedules, and ensuring that all service operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction:
- Greet customers promptly and courteously.
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document service needs and requests.
- Provide detailed explanations of required services, ensuring customer understanding and satisfaction.
- Service Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate service appointments.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers regarding service progress and any changes.
- Keep customers updated on progress regularly.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all service orders.
Technical Liaison:
- Communicate customer needs to service technicians clearly and accurately.
- Verify that all work has been completed satisfactorily before returning the vessel to the customer.
- Stay updated on marine products, services, and industry trends.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain detailed records of service work, parts, and labor.
- Prepare and present service estimates and invoices to customers.
- Process payments and handle financial transactions related to service work.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction with services performed.
- Handle customer complaints and issues promptly, aiming for a swift and effective resolution.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a service advisor role, preferably within the marine or automotive industry.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of marine systems and terminology is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer systems and service management software.
