Viking has an industry penchant for amazing boat show displays, and the same is true for our annual dealer meeting when we showcase new Viking models in an intimate setting. This year we are ramping up the fun and excitement with an impressive in-water line up at the Farley State Marina adjacent to the new Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, from June 25 – 28, 2012. Following our regularly scheduled business meetings with our domestic and international dealers on June 26, we will have nine new Vikings available for sea trials on Wednesday, June 27 and Thursday, June 28. Sea trials can be arranged through your Viking Yacht dealer, or by contacting gwaldron@vikingyachts.com. Plant tours also can be arranged during this time frame.
In the limelight this year will be two very special Vikings. Our newest model, the 55 Convertible will be unveiled in an exclusive showing. The 55 Convertible has a custom Viking Lady yellow hull, a spectacular three-stateroom layout, a spacious salon with gorgeous teak joinery throughout, a tournament ready cockpit and a flying bridge with a unique center console helm and a totally customized Atlantic Marine Electronics’ navigation package. The yacht also will feature a beautiful and impressive Palm Beach Towers’ tuna tower. Twin 1,550 mhp MAN CRM diesels will provide a high 30- knot cruise and a top end of 40 knots plus.
Viking co-founder Bill Healey will have h personalized 42 Open on display featuring 600 mhp Cummins QSC diesels and Zeus pod drives. Appropriately named Valhalla, which in Nordic means Viking heaven, this highly customized yacht even features an applied teak finish transom.
Other Viking yachts on display will include our company summer demo, the Viking 70 with a custom whisper gray hull; Viking 70714, a 70 Enclosed Bridge Convertible; a 66 Open Bridge Convertible with Caterpillar power; a Cat-powered 60 Convertible; a 50 Convertible with 1,360 mhp MAN CRM diesels; a very special 46 Convertible with a one-of-a-kind three-stateroom layout; and a 42 Convertible with pod drives.
Strong sales during the 2011/2012 winter boat shows in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami have contributed handsomely to our production schedules and the 2013 model year is rapidly shaping up to continue this trend.
We hope you will attend this event and encourage you to contact your Viking dealer, or gwaldron@vikingyachts.com immediately if you intend to sea trial one of these boats during our presentation.
