Regulator RTM = Superior Hatches!

RTM stands for Resin Transfer Molding, and it means that every Regulator hatch lid has a clean finish both inside & out!  Each day in the Lamination department, Joe makes 10 to 15 RTM lids.

To get a clean finish, you must start with two great molds!

 

Joe now trims the fiberglass for the other mold.

 

Joe add fiberglass as reinforcement to the sides of the lid.

 

It is time for the two molds to join together!

 

For strength and support klegecell coring must be added to the center of the hatch lid.

 

Air hoses and resin lines are connected to the molds.   Resin will be pumped through the mold to complete the process.

 
These hatch lids are finished on both sides which make them easy to clean and smooth to touch.  Open a beautiful RTM hatch lid on a brand new Regulator at your Oyster Harbors Marine today!
