With its custom Capri Blue hull, 55403, hull number three in our new 55 Convertible series boasts quite a list of special features for its West Coast owner including fiberglass steps to the flying bridge, a custom helm station with a vertical steering wheel, bridge mounted outriggers, a cockpit camera, air conditioning, a plotter and sounder. Bow and stern thrusters provide extreme maneuverability for fishing and docking, and the underwater lights will do a superb job of illuminating the deep blue Pacific during nocturnal jaunts. Transom tuna tubes, and bait tanks in the cockpit and on the bow will keep this battlewagon locked, loaded, and ready for action. The waist high bow rail wraps around the deckhouse and the pulpit features a secure toe rail, making the ideal perch for sight casting to striped marlin.

Smoothing the seas

Viking has considerable experience installing Seakeeper Gyro stabilizers on many of our boats from 55 to 82 feet. In the prop shop, Yasser Hussan (left) and Bill Gibbons (right) get ready for another installation, this one a model M-26000 weighing some 3,000 pounds for Viking 76614, a 76 Enclosed Bridge Convertible that will appear at the 2013 Miami Boat Show.
