39th Annual Bermuda Triple Crown Billfish Championship

The Bermuda Triple Crown Billfish Championship includes nine days of fishing during three major Bermuda-based billfish tournaments including the Bermuda Billfish Blast, Bermuda Big Game Classic and Sea Horse Anglers Club Billfish Tournament. The points earned at each event follow the boats, crew and anglers with the winners receiving a fantastic prize package. The quality fleet of 40 boats made for a very competitive down to the wire finish this year. Fa La Me, a Viking 70 Enclosed Bridge with owners Frank and Mary Ellen Rodriguez, Captain Rob Moore, mate Jon Meade and teammates Taylor and Tyler Beckford scored four whites in the Blast, three blues and two whites in the Classic and two blues and one white in the Sea Horse to win the Series. A total of 162 billfish, 93 blue marlin and 69 white marlin were hooked during the Bermuda Triple Crown.

The Viking Yacht Service Center in Riviera Beach, Florida, is an integral part of the city’s ongoing redevelopment program, of which the Viking Yacht Company hopes to play a major role by creating jobs, educational advancements and new construction projects.

Recently, dignitaries of Riviera Beach stopped at the Viking Yacht facility in New Gretna, New Jersey, during their fact finding mission of other East Coast cities, and were given a tour of the plant by Viking’s president and CEO, Bill Healey and Robert Healey, Jr., assistant to the Viking’ s Chairman and COO, Robert T. Healey.

Viking goes to Hollywood

Early next year, Viking will take to the small screen in the Travel Channel’ s Extreme Yachts television show featuring the building of a Viking 82 Enclosed Bridge Convertible. The film crew was busy this week recording numerous build operations including the installation of wall paper in the full beam master stateroom.
